G'day Mates. How ya goin?
Today is Monday the 1st of March here in Rocky with Elder Paki. I sent some pictures, hope you enjoy. I don't know where to start today. I had a doctors apt. this morning and he looked at my x-rays that I got done last week. He said the only thing that is wrong is that it looks like there is a bit of mild curvature in the middle of my spine. So basically I bent my back bone playing one on one with Elder Paki. I'll get him back once im healed up though. It doesn't help that I had to leave my basketball shoes in the mission home down in Brisbane when I came up here in November. So mom, I will be sent to a physical therapist some time this week and i'm sure they'll tell me all the back exercises I need to do. I wish Uncle Mark was here so he could just be like Wam Bam - done... and I could go back to work. I hate not being able to exercise normally and play sports.
In a few minutes we will go shopping and then this evening we are going up to Mt. Morgan to have a birthday dinner for Mario at the Polizzi's home. He is turning 55. The reason the birthday is of such significance is that they were going to the Jehovah Witness church for a long time, so they haven't celebrated any birthdays or holidays in the family for a long time. So we hope to make this a special one for him and his family. The Wallace's, the senior missionary couple in the branch, got him and his wife nice triple combination's for a gift and we signed our names and testimonies in them.

I wrote all that last week but I ran out of time and the computer shut off. But luckily with the new Myldsmail it saves everything so I didn't lose it! So just so you know that was a week ago. Now its the 8th of March, Monday.
How is everybody? Thank you so much for the valentines cards mom! I gave the other one to Elder Paki. I was very pleased to get mail and stuff from the Ramsay family, Sierra and Sheyene! Thank you so much for the pictures, stories, news, and encouragement! I love hearing from you!
I want to say a happy Birthday to you Sheyene! 1 year older than me and wiser than me too --> Happy birthday... TO YOU!
Christian I thought of you on your birthday as well this past week. It seems like you just barely turned 12. Are you in 7th grade right now? Lisa I'd like to hear from those kids of yours again. I also love drawings, so if the kids draw any pictures you should send some over. John and Sierra thanks for the American lollys. I made sure to share them.
I started making a tape today for the young men in the ward to listen to. I call it: A day in the life of a missionary. so I'm just going to record stuff as I go through each day of the week, so they can see a little bit of what a mission is like. When I send it home if you guys could share it with the young men in the ward (only the 15th ward boys though, not the 13th ward... HAHA just playin).
It has been an ok week. Elder Paki is probably leaving in a weeks time to get transferred back down to Brisbane. This is something that neither of us are looking forward to, as we both enjoy being up here together. Pray that I get a cool companion come up here. I've really enjoyed being with Australian and New Zealand companions most of my mission, I think I get along with them very well.
I have an apt. at the Physical therapist tomorrow to check my back. The pain has gone way down, and I feel alright, but I still want to make sure nothing is permanently damaged anywhere. The sooner I get it fixed the better though, because I'm tired of watching elder Paki play basketball while I sit on the side lines.
Dad I enjoyed reading your insights you sent me this morning. They are interesting to me, because they are actually both topics that I have given much thought and study to as of late. Thank you - I enjoy your temporal as well as your spiritual updates. RISE AND SHOUT THE COUGARS ARE OUT... GO COUGARS! I love the basketball news! I'll have to rub it in to Elder Wallace that we beat his Runnin' Utes. Have the Jensen's been back down much at all lately to watch any games or to visit or anything? Any family gatherings lately?
Wait hold on hold on hold on. Timpview Basketball won the state championship?? They beat Provo?! That is even cooler than BYU winning. Another good year in sports it looks like. All the sports here are dumb - cricket, net ball, rugby league... BORING.
Dad when you say brother 'Waite' are you talking about Jake weight's Dad? Are they in our ward? I reckon the new Y/M Y/W would be pretty huge. Who is the young mens presidency in the ward now? what are Mike Stewart, and Jim Peterson's callings now if they're not in the Bishopric? Are there any Murrays in the ward now? Its going to be weird going home and not having John and Sierra or Mike and Lisa in the ward anymore. Just make sure the Stobbes dont leave too.
To all my Nieces and Nephews - Did you get my Christmas Present I sent home? If any of you make snowmen or anything you will have to take pictures of them and show me! It doesn't EVER snow here. Mom it is so good to hear everything about the family gathering for Christians birthday dinner you are going to tonight ;).
SCOTYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! My Patience!............AHHHHHHHHHHHH. THE SUSPENSE!!!! Why don't you just tell us!!!!!!!! Its good to hear you have a letter in the mail for us though! don't anyone say anything now, 'cause I'll probably get my letter like 2 weeks after Matt gets his considering how slow I get things over here. I'm so psyched for you Scoty!!! I'm going to make a tape for you and the Posse.
Mum, what is Alex Ramsay's mission addy? I have two letters written and stamped, but I just need his Address. Could you help me out with that? Thanks again for all you do mum.
Matt Lolani seems sweet. That is so cool that she is getting her patriarchal blessing! Our recent convert Matt (Popey) is getting ready to get the Priesthood.
Matt I love getting the pictures. Are you still with Greg? When are your transfers? I will be sending you the tape from Mom and the fam, a tape from me, and some pictures shortly... did you say you had something in the post for me?
Are the Unga's in our ward now? The news about the ward was shocking. The Summit ward? Sounds like a new summer sales company ("Pinnacle" "APX"). I'm sure all will be well by the time we get home though. Is there any church ball this season dad? Are you still the ward sports guy/chairmen/coordinator/secretservice advisor thingo?
Matt did you really get to call and talk to mom?!? Struth! You lucky snigger wigger! We should have a tsunami here too! Fairdink! But I guess its good to hear you are still alive and all over there. We should be able to call home if the humidity here gets over 95% i think - cause you feel like you're gonnna die.
Matt I told everyone I knew about your spider bite story, I thought that was crack up... so no spidy senses yet? How are the 15 steps going for Lisa? Is it the same as it is over here? The one where you have to brush your teeth and drink grapefruit juice all the time?
The work has been a bit slow lately- a few Lessons here and there, but no knew investigators this week unfortunately. We are having trouble getting our investigators to come to church. There isn't a lot of decent fellowship in the branch, which makes it hard. Its good to hear that you guys back home (especially Mom, Sierra, And Sheyene) are befriending and fellow shipping all the nonmembers and less actives in your path. I love to hear about your missionary experiences.
Mom and Dad, I pray for you each night that you will find new work. Don't do anything that will hurt yourselves. Dad - We need to play basketball when we get home!
It does get hard like you said sometimes Mom, but... well, we've been listening to a lot of Neal A. Maxwell's talks lately (he's a new favorite), and he talks a lot about trials and is very strait forward about how we need to endure them well and be even as Jesus Christ was. I have learned much about Humility and Meekness as of late and it gets easier and easier to get over hard times. I love you all and most importantly I know that this work is true, because of the Book Of Mormon.
Love, Elder Prina
PEACE!
Goodbye Trondheim
