Matt in Pearl City April 26, 2010

Aloha everyone,
Its another beautiful day in Pearl City Hawaii, I am amazed at what I see everyday when I walk outside in the morning. Today I woke up early and got some cleaning done. I'm working on my letter for mark right now, I will send that with Mom's Mothers day card this week. Rob, I hope you can get the little package I sent you when I was in Maui, I don't really remember what was in it but I recall it being of value.
John, how is school going? What classes are you taking? Have you made anything cool in your art class? Can I see?? Thank you guys for everything you do and the good example you set for me. Hopefully I can talk to you on mothers day, our president said our calls have to be 40 min. this time or else they will get rid of the cell phones in our mission.
Dad, hows your ankle? Have you played any basketball lately? I organized a ward basketball night for this weekend so I'm excited to play for the first time since I left Maui. We have a couple investigators who said they wanted to play. I don't know if we were counted in the census here, how would I find out? I'll ask about it.
Mom, that's cool that you "Skyped" with Kristin, I heard that's like a telephone call where you can see the person your talking to, that's tight, I heard it was free, sooooo.... does that make home phones like automatically obsolete?

Concerning picking me up after my mission, It's against the rules in my mission, you have to go home and get released first. Plus I wouldn't really be able to do anything before I'm released anyway. Plus I want to fly home with my MTC district.
We'll keep saving and go for sure someday. I liked your miracle ramp story, that's awesome!
We had a little miracle of our own last week. We had zone conference on Thursday so that was great because the whole thing was focused on the Atonement, plus I got to see Elder Simnitt who is now in the neighboring zone, plus the AP's brought me some stuff that I left in Maui (like my razor charger). But anyway, after zone conference we went to a lesson we had with a Spanish lady who is a less active member in our ward and her daughter is an investigator. When we got there she told us that we were out of luck because her brother in law (the only other male in the house) had just left. I suggested we do the lesson outside on the grass, so we did. They live in some apartments near an elementary school and a bike path. About half way through the lesson a guy rode by on his bike and said "hi elders", we said hi back but we didn't know who it was. About two minutes later he came back and stopped. He asked us if we worked on the Navy peninsula, we said yes. He told us he was in the navy and had been less active from the church for a few years. He gave us his address and phone number and told us to come over the following night. We taught him the next night and he came to church yesterday! He is about 28 and his wife isn't a member, he said next week his wife will come to church with him. He has a really good outgoing personality so he shouldn't have any trouble making friends in the ward.
Everyday the lord is blessing us with more and more opportunities to teach. When I am obedient to all the rules the blessings seem almost instant. When I am not everything goes wrong and I'm not happy. This week will be the last week of the transfer, my companion and I have decided to make it "the best week yet". I challenge all of you to make this week your "best week yet" and be as obedient as you can for the next 7 days. I will report back to you about how it goes next Monday, you can do the same.
We have B-Ball for a zone activity now so I will peace out!

Love,
Elder Prina
