Good day mates? I don't have much time today. We couldn't get on at the library at 10:00 today like usual 'cause the computers were full and we are the scum of earth Library because we don't have membership cards -So we went to the Apple store at the mall and checked our emails on one of the new I pads. Haha. It was brilliant. We came back to the library to respond so we didn't have to type on those little touch screen key pads.
Today is our Zone leader's (Elder Fullmer's) Last P-day before he finishes his mission so we are going to Isle of Capri to make zone t-shirts and then we are going to the park to play touch (In The RAIN!) I'm excited!
Thanks for the recipes Mom.
You better 'follow up' with those worthless missionaries up in Roy where grandpa lives. I cant believe they haven't called you back. They must send the downer missionaries to Utah, cause they need us much help as they can get.
I love the members here in Mudgee! Everyone is so cool and missionary minded. Good News: The girl who came to church last week (Hilita) Is getting baptized in 3 days! Thursday the 26th!! She was Golden! She has really good fellowship in the ward, has been to church twice, has been taught everything, has been to a YSA activity, and has received an answer through prayer and the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true!! MIRACLE!
So thanks for the prayers! We applied all the trainings that we've been receiving lately from the new mission president - and they worked! They worked miracles! We also had some less active / part member families at church this week that we weren't necessarily expecting so that really put a smile on our faces!
Thanks for putting money in my account. I had .11 c left after last week! But I knew the Lord would provide! He always does!
I miss you all. Happy Birthday Sierra - there should be something in the mail for you!
Take it easy Mom and Dad - don't work yourselves to death.
Know that you are in my prayers everyone.
Go Hard Matt and Baptize the nations! That's cool that you got to chat with Sis. Wixom in Hawaii, bet you never thought you would get to do that, with the only Hawaiian member of our ward. I send my regards to the whole family back home.
Oh - and please send me stuff. I like it.
The Gospel is true and it works! If you don't believe me go and watch the news!
LOVE ELDER PRINA.
Matt 8/16/10
Hello everyone, 8/16/2010
Mom: Yes, Sister Wixom did come! Thanks for the peanutbutter Cookies, I loved them! Thank you for Scoty's address, I'll send his letter tomorrow. That's cool that the Nobel family comes to our ward now, why didn't they come before? He's a cool guy.
Dad: I'm getting pretty good at basketball, Elder Naulu and I play like every morning, I'm excited to play you when I get back.
Sierra: Happy Birthday!
Rob: I should be sending you a package sometime in the next month.
Mom and Dad: There is another family in my ward (the Ikari family) who will be dropping off their daughter at BYU the weekend of the 22nd. They asked If I wanted them to give you anything so I gave them your address and phone number and I will give them a little package to give to you guys. So be expecting a call sometime that weekend.
I'm glad you guys have some many jobs and such a good reputation for your hard work. I remember you guys teaching me when I was young that I takes a lifetime to build a good reputation and 5 min. to destroy it.
We are starting to find some potential investigators here in Pearl City, I feel like we're starting from scratch. There are 6 investigators with a baptismal date in our district right now. My companion never ceases to amaze me at how amazing he is. He always pretends like he's big and bad but he's not. This morning our district went on a little hike near our chapel. The whole time E. Naulu was walking ahead and it seemed like he was trying to get away from everyone. I caught up with him and we hiked way faster than anyone else. We found a branch off of the trail that led to a lookout spot. We could see miles into the mountains to the north, and all of Honolulu, Pearl Harbor and Pearl City to the south. We just stood and stared for a good 10 minutes. Finnally E. Naulu said "do you want to pray with me". We knelt down with our walking sticks and he asked a blessing on our area and asked for courage and strength to stay strong through out the end of our missions. It was probably the most moving prayer I've ever heard him give. By the time we stood up my eyes were full of tears and the doubts I had in my companion were swept away. I'm so grateful for my chance to serve here with E. Naulu. This hasn't been the easiest area but the lord has truly blessed us in our trials.
Yesterday, there was more people at church than I've ever seen before! Less active people we've been working on for nearly 6 months came, former investigators came, our one real investigator came, both of the speakers were returning less active women. There is no better feeling than seeing them walk in those doors. I wanted to thank all of you for all the support and encouragement you have given me and promise you I will work hard every day until the end of my mission. This Church is True, President Monson is God's servant to lead the earth through revelation, the Book of Mormon is True, and Joseph Smith told the Truth. Of this I bear my testimony as a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Love,
Elder Prina
