Hoku famili,
Malo e lelei! How about Conference!? Tight as Bet! How about Elder Holland? Probably the best talk... ever. He just whups out the same exact B.O.M. that Hyrum was reading in Carthage the day of the martyrdom. There were some very powerful talks. Elder Scot shut down porn hard core within like the first 20 min of the Saturday morning session. Pres. Uchtdorf didn't talk about airplanes but turns out he's hilarious and cracks jokes about primary songs. I like how he talked about how god doesn’t really need us to love him, but oh, how we need to love god. Pres, Eyering in Priesthood session, about being prepared to use the priesthood. I also loved the guy who talked about learning French and Tahitian. That one was very touching to me trying to learn Tongan, I guess I just need to have more faith in the Lord and quit trying to do it all on my own. I actually watched Pres. Monson's talk (Sun. morning) in Tongan. I went into the primary room where all the Tongans were watching it translated. Even Sis. Dibb's talk didn't seem that bad.
To follow Elder Bednar's counsel I just want to tell you all that I love you, and that I have a testimony of this restored gospel, and that I'm so grateful that we always had the and prayed and read as a family.
Now for announcements, we got the word last night that I'm packing to fly. Transfers are on Wednesday and we won’t find out for sure till then but I think i'm going to the Tongan ward on Maui.
I've been here in Kailua for 4.5 months. I loved it here, I wish I could stay here my whole mission, but I'm excited to see what the lord has in store for me next. But all we really know so far is that I'm going off island and that E. Aldridge my old comp. is going district leader here in Kailua.
Rob I'm sending you a package soon. That’s cool that you got to stay, tell E. Finau ofa atu for me, oku ou ofa he kakai faka Tonga. Houston is sitting next to me right now, he says what’s up.
Yes mom I'm staying healthy, my goal is to have a six pack by the end of the year. Our appointment with the Marines neighbor went well, her name is Trish and we will be teaching her tonight and every Monday night, she will probably be baptized. We get free B.O.M.'s we don't need to pay for them. Micholo is doing great, I was supposed to baptize him but I'm not going to be here anymore so I'm sad about that.
Yes we did meet up with Jordan brown and his wife. His wife will be baptized soon as well. We also met another less active family on base last week and we are going to start teaching their daughter tomorrow and she will be baptized soon as well. I love this work! Shall we not go on in so great a cause? Sounds like you guys are having fun. Oh, please add Bro. Dabczyski to the email list(adab@byu.edu)
Dad, rise and shout! What a great weekend, hanging out with the Cougars, and family. While we were driving to our investigators house yesterday to watch the afternoon session with him I saw a Ferrari 360 Modena, a Ferrari 456 gtb, and two sparkling Lamborghini Murciliagos shoot by going the opposite direction.
I'm so grateful for the tender mercies of the Lord. It's good to hear that Harvey is up and running again. I loved Elder Ballards talk in the Priesthood session. I love you dad, you did everything Elder Ballard said you should. You did a great job and I'll never let you down. His talk defiantly made me a little trunky, I'll have to say I miss working side by side with you more than anything else.
Lisa and Mike, I'm going to miss you guys this Holliday season. The kid's cute little Halloween out fits, Turkey Bowl, Mike telling Jokes while we eat chex mix, all the drama between Lisa and the other sisters, haha jk.
Andrea and Blake, I really need to write you guys a letter, be expecting one after I settle down in Maui.
Valerie and Eric, didn't you guys say you were coming out here sometime this fall? Well I guess there no chance you'll see me now unless you were planning on coming to Maui. Eric, give the kids nuggies for me.
Kristin and Pete, Sydney is so big! Tell me about your crazy adventures lately. I really miss you guys. Kristin I loved that picture you sent me of you and Andrea at the reunion. Because your wearing jeans and a black t-shirt. I think that’s like your signature thing, it reminded me of your senior picture.
John and Sierra, you guys have your hands full so I don't even expect you to get through this whole email. We got a call last week asking for a blessing at the hospital. We got there and it turned out it was a 3 day old cute little Hawaiian baby girl. I had the opportunity to give her a blessing that she would be alright (I think she had that thing that Easton was supposed to have, I can't remember the name of it) I got a little emotional when I told them that I just had a little baby niece born the week before and I was so happy that I got to see Taden (their baby) to make up for not being able to see Ellie.
Rob, Its funny you ask, I just decided to send you an extra Tongan name tag I have in the package I'm sending you "I'm one step ahead of you" but I'm not going to be able to get you a Samoan one because they just made a rule that we can't get them in languages we aren't speaking on our mission. Did you hear about Samoa? Did you feel any of the effects over there? Tell Fiona congratulations for me. I love the tape you sent me of her "your brothas the man, he's' helping me change my life... I'm the man."
Scoty Happy B-Day and you too Wendy! I'll work on getting you guys some Prinamade cards.
Well I got two days before I leave so I got a lot to do. Have a great week everyone.
Pray for missionary opportunities, use technology to spread the gospel(something you guys can do that I can’t). Can't wait for the Ensign!
Ofa Atu,
Elder Prina
