Hey everyone,
I won't have much time to write since I spent so much time reading Rob's long email. Things are going great here in Maui. I saw the Lyons at our church building on Sunday. Dad, I saw some guy at Costco today that said he was in the Spanish American mission in 63, what years were you there?
Sorry, I don't remember his name. We have a girl scheduled to get baptized on Nov. 1st, her name is Kalisi, she is 19. She is scared about baptism because her mom really doesn't want her to join the church so we have been fasting and praying a lot for her lately. There was a big Tongan wedding in our ward this week and a bunch of Tongans from my previous wards on Oahu were here so it was awesome to see them and they were impressed at how much Tongan I've learned.
Thanks for Travis' email I enjoyed it. Could you please send me the Bancrofts address in Korea?
Okay, thank you so much for the Birthday package mom and dad and everyone. Thank you so much for the Camera!!! I'm so sick of buying disposable ones. Thank you for the cards and letters everyone.
Sierra, your letter was my favorite, thanks for all the updates. Thanks for the pants... ok, the pants... So I get the package right, I think it’s my dead companion elder Stewart sending me Tongan cds, so I just cut the corner off, and a little black piece of material in the shape of a square falls to the ground. So I unfold the pants and there is a whole in a perfect square shape right in the front to the left of the zipper. So... yeah, I don’t know what to say. Are they from missionary mall? If they are I can just send them a picture and they'll send me another pair right?
I just bought a bunch of mini tapes today so I should send some out in the near future.
Yes, I get along very well with my new companion. He thinks I'm the bomb and he loved your letter mom. He's been out for 17 months, he is hilarious, and I learn a lot from him. The spirit is always felt so strongly in lessons with the Tongans. I want to be able to teach in Tongan by the end of this transfer Nov. 18th.
Micholo and Rich, the two investigators from my Tongan branch back in Kailua got baptized on the 17th. I'm so sad I didn't get to be there but so happy they both made the right decision. I want to keep in good touch with my investigators after my mission.
I love you guys so much. I know this church is true, I read my journal entry from when I went through the temple the other day and right up until the day I came to Hawaii. I have been so blessed with spiritual experiences in my life. It helped me realize how responsible I am for people who have never had those experiences.
Happy Halloween everyone! Send me pictures!
