Aloha

Aloha,
For those of you who didn't know...
I am grateful to be in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission, the Aloha mission. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is our message, Love of God and others is our motivation, and Obedience to the commandments and mission rules is our strength. By sharing the gospel with others we can give them the "Ha"-the breath of life, even eternal life. Aloha!
I am really grateful to be here. When I first came on my mission I often wondered why God thought I deserved to come to such a beautiful place, I didn't think I deserved it. But I look at this 2 years as a tithe for the first 20 years of my life. God has given me a great family, priceless friends, a good education, unforgettable experiences, the true gospel, and the life of his only begotten son. I can never repay him, but I will give him all I've got. The period of time in which we are able to serve the lord with all our hear might mind and strength is extremely short, I hope I can use this time in the most productive way possible and at the same time not always be in a hurry. I want to thank you mom and dad for the weekly emails, they mean more than you know to me. I'm so glad we live in a time where technology makes it possible for us to communicate so fast! I want to thank the Stobbes for writing me so often and for sending me Scoty's emails. I want to thank you all for all your prayers and hope you know that I pray for you every day and my companions probably get sick of hearing me pray about my family every single day.
A few weeks ago there was a sister in our ward named Sister Tom who woke up and was thinking of the scripture Prov. 3:5 trust in the lord with all thine heart... and the lord will direct thy paths. Or something like that. She said she just couldn't stop thinking about it and she didn't know what to do so she just sent out a mass text to all of the contacts in her phone with the scripture. she said about 3 minutes later she got a text back from a random guy who said she had the wrong number but he thanked her for the scripture, so she went ahead and deleted his number from her phone. About three days later she got a text back from the same guy saying: "by the way, how do I get on the right path". She called us and we gave her the number for the missionaries that live in his area. Since then she told us that he has met with the missionaries twice and come to church with them! It's so cool to see how following the promptings of the spirit really works!
Happy Birthday Madison and Mike! We through a surprise birthday for one of the elders in our district today. Hey mom, could you send me a picture of the three little girls in their matching dresses at Andreas house (Emily, Sidney, and Jill)? I miss that picture.

Rob did you know there is a picture of a family playing croquet in the Law of Chastity pamphlet!? I didn't even look at that thing until a couple days ago. I thought that was hilarious. No Rob, I haven't been to the temple since I left the MTC. There are two temples in Hawaii. One on big island (I've never been there), and one in Laie (on Oahu) which has been under construction ever since I've been here. The Laie temple will be rededicated the first Sunday of November. For church that day we will watch the dedication via satellite from our stake center. I can't wait to go inside. I got an email from Mike Brett, my recent convert from Kailua today and it sounds like he's on schedule to go in November and get sealed to his wife. His year mark is Aug. 8th. He said he could give me a ride up there so I could join him for his first time. Rob you said you saw your mission pres. at Z.L. council, are you a ZL? My Z.L.s this transfer were E. Doane and E Barraza (two of my MTC Brothers), last night I found out that E. Doane Just got called to be the new A.P.
How is everything back home? How is John and his family? What are Lisa and Mike doing these days? Did they ever start building homes over in California? How are the Jensen Kids? How is Blake's guitar and Audrey's piano coming. I decided I am going to take piano lessons when I get home. Yeah, that's cool that Christian is using our bench, by the way, did they ever get their foose ball back? How is Valerie and her crew?? Eric still hasn't written me about his Hawaii times. Is Andrew staying out of trouble? I miss him so much! How is baby Grace? There was a little girl in our ward born a few days after her so she always reminds me of you guys when I see her.

Thanks again for the calendar Lisa, It sure makes it easier to remember you guys' faces. I got Kristin and Pete's photo this month, they are so photogenic! Mom and Dad are you still looking for another job that is less physically engaging???? I'm glad you guys are getting jobs I just hope you can handle them. Some old guy in my ward was telling me a guy he knows who does cleaning and he is a multi millionaire. He said he carries a toilet bowl around every where he goes to do demonstrations and stuff.
Well sorry if this is long, I need to get back to work. I love this work and I am trying really hard to stay focused (it's tough in Hawaii). Dad just so you know I always articulate, even though the locals make fun of me.
love, elder Prina!
