G'day mates,
I've been reading in the book of Ether lately and i am really enjoying it. I haven't read it in ages, so there is a lot i have forgotten. The parts i do remember are the parts that are in the "Book of Mormon Stories" tapes that we used to watch as kids. Some people bag on those movies because of the amount of poetic license they claim, but personally i am a huge fan of them and i will get them for my kids when i grow up. They are tight... like unto a dish.
Mum, thanks for the email, its great to wear my nice suit pants. I've been wearing my HOLY ones for a week, because i left the less holy pair in Redcliffe on accident, but i will be getting them back from E. Thunot at zone conference.
Kristin i met our stake presidency this week here in the Gold Coast, and one of them said that they have a daughter, who's a member, who lives in San Jose named Tania Hulaman. I don't know if they would be in your ward/stake, but does that name ring a bell at all to you? Is Pete ever gonna come back to Aussie land or does he have no more ties with that project over here? How is Baby GG doing? You have to send me some pictures so i can see what she looks like and what your bigger family looks like.
We had a ward activity on Saturday night - an international cuisine night- where people brought food from different countries and stuff; but i met this American guy there named Rob Smith who is a single 28 year old guy from California. He told me not to wait around too long to get married after my mission. He is leaving next month to go do an internship in New York City. He is from Southern California. For some reason he just reminded me a lot of you Kristin, or the guys you used to date when you were younger and single. But then i remembered that you were married with 2 kids. Its hard to believe. Sorry, that was random. But anyway, its nice to have some Americans in the ward. There is that guy and then another guy from northern California in the ward who is married with kids. The 2 of them Brought Chili and Cornbread to the international foods activity. I haven't had Corn bread in over 16 months! It was soooo goood! I told them all it needed was some maple syrup!
Mum, its good to hear that work is going well for you and that our prayers are being answered. Just keep being careful on those 40 foot ladders! Who is working for you? Are any of our brothers/sisters and their families doing anything cool for the summer break?
John and Sierra how are you guys doing? I haven't heard from yous in a bit. How is life?
Tell The Stobbe family i say hello! I really enjoyed getting Scoty's emails sent to me. Is he out of the MTC now? Could i get his mission address? I have a package i'm ready to send him. and could you ask the Stobbes if they could continue to send me Scotys emails, or if someone could forward them to my email. That'd be great.
Mum, the picture of the shoe was to show the holes and fraying at the bottom of my Pros. pants. My shoes are doing alright, but those little blue air bubble things in the insole always pop in like 3 weeks, and then the jelly stuff on the inside of them gets all over the bottom of your socks. So that is the only problem with the shoes.
What has Lisa Prina's experience with the Italy Prina's been like? Are they receptive at all... or do they just feed her heaps?
Mum, you say that your friends are surprised when they hear we are coming home in February and March. Are they surprised that its so soon, or so long?
Mum, how are all the fellow missionaries in the ward doing? IE. Travis, Lincoln, Scoty, Chris.. etc. etc. Do you talk to all the other missionary moms about their sons? How are there missions going?
I'm glad you are enjoying the Old Testament. I always try to go to Gospel Essentials rather than Gospel Doctrine because i still find the old testament boring. But i do know that it is true... As far as it is translated correctly....
Matt how are ya mate? My companion is a twin and we've been talking about our twins a lot lately. His twin is serving in the Melbourne Australia Mission.
Things are going well here in the Mudgeeraba area. That is pronounced (Mudge-ruh-buh), by the way. Or just Mudgie. My district Leader is Elder Hales - my second companion on my mission. So its good to see him again.
My companion Elder Lester is kind of a big nerd, but i love him. Hes crack up. A lot of the stuff he says reminds me of Alex Ramsay. So sometimes i just cant stop laughing.
We have a family who has a baptismal date for august 29th when there dad gets back from Papua New Guinea. I met them at church yesterday. I love the ward already. I hope you all have a good Pday. The Restoration of the fullness of the everlasting Gospel Of Jesus Christ had definitely been restored through the modern day prophet Joseph Smith who was called of God. I know that and i know that it changes everything. Does anyone have any missionary experiences lately?
BET! Love, Elder PRINA
