Oy! Brethren and Sisters!
I'm gratful for the chance I have to write to you each week at the Rocky Library "FOR FREEEEE!".
Mum and Dad, if you receive a parcel in the mail from Australia, it is just a Christmas gift for all my Neices and Nephews. A little taste of the outback for them.
Speaking of the outback, tell Mark thanks for writing me and the package, but that it would be more efficient and insured if he would send it to:
3/10 Hassell st.
Rockhampton QLD, 4701
Austalia
There are missionaries working in the mission office and they are not reliable... we put in an order for supplies about 2 weeks before Christmas, hoping that they would get them up to us by Christmas, and we just got them this past week.
Dad, I heard that Austin Colley, Manning, and the Colts lost the Superbowl on an interception. I also heard from Elder Wallace (the senior couple up here from Utah) that the pick for the 1st string QB for BYU next Season is a kid name "Heapes". I heard heaps of colleges were trying to get him. I hope he scores Heaps of points for the cougars. Haha. We thought his name was funny.
Dad, be careful with yourself. We need to still play 3 times a week at least when you get home. I guess I'm not one to talk. I watched Elder Paki play today while I sat back in the car because I hurt my back some how this past week. I don't know what it is from but I've been having really bad pain in my middle back. I told Sister Richards about it, so I'm doing stuff to remedy it. I'm trying not to take pills. But don't worry, she'll help me.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! to everyone. I guess it would still be valentines day back there right now, eh?
Happy Birthday Andrea! I'm working on getting some stuff out to you and your family. Thanks for keeping in touch.
Mom, I checked with the post office about John's package and they said that to find it they need a tracking number that john would've got. John the tracking code is 2 letters, 9 numbers and endes in US.
(i.e.) AB123456789US
Mom, did they send it to the Dean St. addy?
John hopefully you still have the tracking code somewhere. I'm going to check with the lady that moved into our old flat on Dean st. today, but we have been getting mail re-directed from there, so I would have thought that if it went there that the package would get redirected from there too.
Mom, if you could get the tracking code from John and email that too me ASAP that would be very helpful in finding John and Sierra's Christmas present for me. Thanks heaps.
Blake Senior, there is a less active guy in our branch that said he was baptized by an elder years ago and he got in contact with him on facebook recently He is now a doctor in Idaho who is an R.M. so i figured you might know him. His name is Dr. Clay Prince, do you know him?
How is BYU basketball going? Dad I loved hearing about Jimmer ferdette carrying the team in the Utah game, keep me updated.
Is it true that someone attempted to hi-jack an airplane in Detroit?
Mom, thanks heaps for forwarding me Alex Ramsays emails, he is HIllarious and always makes me laugh.
Matt I would like to see the pictures from your baptism this week with Shad'e. Matt Elder Unga left from the Rock Canyon ward, ya? I just barely remembered that. That is awesome to hear that you guys are getting along great and can talk about things openly and know one else knows what you're talking about. Its beginning to be that way with me and Elder Paki as well, we finish each others sentences and know what each other's thinking just like I do with you Matt. Heaps of Comp. Unity! Matt - Happy year mark - go hard.
We had 7 investigators at church. Last week we set a date for baptism with the Polizzi family who lives out in Mt. Morgan - I think I sent you a picture of them. there daughter Atlanta turns 8 on April 3rd - so they all want to get baptized on Sat. April 3rd and then the 6 of them (Michelle, tony(16), Brenden(14), Amelia(11), Cloie(10), and Atlanta(8)) will be confirmed the next day in sacrament meeting by their father Mario who has been back at church with his family for the past month. Michelle, their mother noted that the confirmations if done consecutivley would take up a large chunk of sacrament meeting. I told her that they would be more important and enjoyable than any talk that could be given.
After church the Cranes 8 year old Daughter Hannah was baptized and confirmed and we were invited to assist in the confirmation. Brother Crane, Hannah's Dad has a crippled left arm like Uncle Larry, so it was cool to seem him baptize her with what looked like some difficulty. After the baptism we had dinner with them (a barbecue at the park). Hannah's older brother Jacob who is 16 has a girlfriend who isn't a member and we set up a teaching appointment with her last night at the barbecue. We also taught her the 10 commandments right there with this Memory (match) game I invented of the 10 commandments. Dad thanks for the additional sports updates in the email I just barely got from you a minute ago. Hope every one is having great day. This Friday is zone conference so president and sister Richards as well as 10 other missionaries will be coming to Rocky! Full house! Next week we will have a baptism with our investigator Kylee who has been progressing steadily.
Thank you all for your love, service, and testimonies. Its nice for a change this year to not think about girls at all on valentines day! I think Matt would agree that it is a nice relief to not have to worry about girls for now. Instead it is nice to get to focus on my love and appreciation for my family, my heavenly father, and the loving atoning sacrifice made by our older brother and Savior - Jesus Christ. Greater LOVE hath no man than this, that a man layeth down his life for his friends. We truly are his friends and I know that his mission was completed perfectly. I can only try to emulate him as I carry out my own mission here in Australia. I love you all and you are in my prayers daily.
Love, Elder Prina.
Goodbye Trondheim
